How do you spell 'wind'?

'Jesus Christ I just got hit by a flying rock!' That's how you spell wind. West Texas wind. Today. And tomorrow. It's like being sand blasted. And not in a good way.

We are busy. All weekend.

Something sarcastic was said yesterdayand directed at me and Bobbie. I won't go into it. I will let it fester inside me till I blow. It wasn't a good day to hear this. I'm not a happy angry person.

My brain is in overtime. I think I want to make many, many collages. You never run out of subjects! I need to research frames to know how big to cut some poster board. And I am saying poster board...but it is really a thick mat board. I'll find the proper name one of these days...but it escapes me right this minute. I know you know what I mean. And the frames would only be a simple box/shadowbox style frame. I got some a couple of years ago on line from Dollar Tree for...you guessed it! A DOLLAR!! I had to buy a case, but for that price...it's worth it.

Any subject ideas? I have thought of some standards - cats; dogs; horses...and some off beat. Food; Westerns; Sunglasses (adding some dimension), Art & Crafts; Hunting; Cowboys and Indians...Help a sista out!! These...if made appealing...could be good sellers here in Alpine at a craft show.

It's something fun to do that I have no pressure to do nor do I need to be in a hurry to do. Arts...in progress. Forever...

I Gorilla glued my fingers together today. No...not on purpose! I didn't realize there was a teeny tiny hole in the tube and it shot out the back and front simultaneously. I pulled my fingers apart. It hurt. A lot. Not one of my smartest moves. The glue works, though!

Bobbie got her eyes checked today. She has diabetes, also. When she got to the optometrist's office, she found that they had failed to tell her that she needed her eyes dialated. She said it wasn't gonna happen as she was in Odessa and would have to drive home! They said that is was standard procedure with any patient with diabetes. She said they could do it next time. Anyway, she had the exam (without the dialation) and the DR said her vision was not too good and she had to get bifocals. (She got the ones that don't have the defined line) She had hoped to get the prescription filed at Eye Mart or something similar, but ended up getting them where she was examined. The lenses...and just the lenses...were $120......EACH! Holy SHIT!! And it wasn't like the 'no defined line' made a huge difference - it was only $20. The frames were $49.99. The exam was $75.00. I think I will stay blind! I know...it's imperative that I get mine checked...and my vision is finally back to where it used to be so I don't have to wear Redneck Bi-Focals anymore. So I really need to make an appointment. I just don't dare to! Maybe I'll do one eye at a time...

My hair is crooked. Not just a little. An inch or two. The length...on my neck...you know how you tug on it and sort of run it through your fingers till you reach the full length...? Well, the left side is longer than the right side. I don't care enough to wack it off...it just feels strange. I never noticed it before...I don't think (?). Maybe I did.

There is a movie on called 'Last Holiday' with Queen Latifah. I like her and it's a funny movie. I think I'll watch it...I think I can stay awake for a couple of hours. Have a great night!

  1. How about a collage of words and phrases Brenda doesn't want to hear? Or found objects from vacated rooms? Or perhaps one all about Val?
