Back from Big Spring

What a wild trip up. The wind was blowing. The snow was blowing. The whole trip was blowing. When we got on the highway heading towards Odessa...the snow was letting up. By the time we got almost to Big Spring...there was no snow...just wind...and the sun was shining. Strange.

We ate dinner when we got there and were back in the room by 6:00. I took a hot shower and was asleep by 7:00!! But I woke up a lot. I was so tired. Mostly from not feeling great anyway and it is a long and tiring drive (over 4 hours). I never looked at the computer. I took some crocheting & never touched it.

I woke up this morning at 5:30 but dozed on and off until 8:00. By then I needed food so I went for the motel breakfast. This is wise...to stay where food is served. It wasn't one of those where you get the waffles...but I don't care. There was scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, toast, English muffins, bagels and cream cheese, several kinds of mini muffins, juice, cereal...a nice selection. I got Husband and I eggs, fruit and muffins and hot tea. Then...we were off to the hospital.

First, Husband had xrays, which are a pre-requisite for the MRI and then they did an 'orbital xray' due to metal fragments in his eye. Go figure. Then the MRI itself. Then a CAT scan. Then another set of xrays. The whole procedure went quite fast for the VA and then we were on the road, stopped for fuel, stopped at the grocery store and got back home by 5:30. Long day.

The wind blew again all the way home but there was no snow and the sun was shining. At least when we got here we had hot water! Thank God! And the snow on the ground was pretty much gone.  This was the fountain today when we got home.
No snow! I tried to post the one from the day before...but it wouldn't let me. I hate that. I'll try again later or tomorrow to show the snow. And the fish swimming around under the ice!

I think I'll rest for a while. Might be back...don't know. Have a nice evening.
