Lots going on in my life. Went to DR with Husband today. He will be going to Big Spring VA in the next 10 days (so says DR) for x-rays, MRI and various other tests on his back and legs. He has had shots in the past to relieve pain. A few years ago, it was determined he had no 'stuff' between the lower vertebrae (L2, L3, L4 & L5) in his back, hence, the shots. He was told then that the likelihood of surgery down the road was a given. The 'given' day may be at hand. Today, DR said condition was, in his opinion, Lumbar Disintegration and Peripheral Neuropathy. Which he explained was the deterioration of the disk cushion between the vertebrae which caused compression of the nerves in the lower spine. There is most likely other underlying nerve damage contributing to this condition.
Anyway, we will know more after tests. At first, DR wanted Husband to be in Big Spring on Monday, but then suggested he would schedule all tests for the same time, smart move, so we wouldn't have to make two or more trips. It will take another week, but it's already been this long. It's a 4+ hour trip to Big Spring from Alpine, one way. It's worth the wait.
It's dead at work. Owners have changed their mind on closing for a period of time. At least that was the word on the street today...There is a little business this weekend, but who knows. Things will pick up. Makes my job a lot easier!
I am not feeling great tonight. I haven't been for a few days. Which is another reason I'm glad there isn't much going on around here. I sort of feel like I have the flu. I'm going to sleep in a minute. I need some Tylenol and I'll be all set. See you tomorrow.
