Where does the time go!!

I have no idea. None. It just goes. Somewhere. Anywhere. But it sure never comes back....

Been working; been resting; got my hair cut off; tripped on a tree root and fell in slow motion; got bleach on my shirt; didn't make a cake; ate lots of food; am listening to some intimidating thunder right this minute; crocheted three (3!) t-h-r-e-e, count them - hats for Francine; read NO pages in my book; went to Dr with Husband (he's not feeling too good); drank 3-1/2 quarts of Gatorade in one day - I don't recommend doing that; bought some Tang - I DO recommend that; watched Grapes of Wrath (I love that movie); took everything out of the closet, under the bed and looked in all the famous Rubbermaid tubs till I thought I was going to faint looking for a pair of tennis shoes that were hanging in the shoe bag on the door (I forgot); realized that the Christmas Craft show is only 3 months away (I'm still making progress!); just realized I have a lot of '3's' in my life; I think I need to take more time off starting tomorrow.

I'm not really sure if it's going to rain tonight or not. It's all around us. We really could use a good gully washer. The Balloon Bash/Fest is this weekend, and I swear we always have thunderstorms while it's going on. They have quite the little weekend of festivities with food booths and some crafty stuff. I think I mentioned this before...I had wanted to set up at this thing when we first moved here...that is...until I found out they charged $150.00 for a space! What a bunch of idiots. What I don't understand...if you want to promote your hometown...why not start with your hometown!! There is also the Marfa Lights Festival in Marfa (duh!) and they charge the same amount. Ain't no way. I mean...I sell items for $5 to (sometimes) $50...that's providing I sell something...I really prefer not to possibly break even! I like the word...'profit'. And in this economy...it's not worth the chance. The Christmas Craft Show is totally different. Even if I didn't go (which has happened) and forfeited the entry fee, it goes to the American Legion, or in this year's case, the Women's Club of Alpine. I am perfectly happy with that. I'd rather give away $150.00 worth of stuff! Oh well...best o luck to 'em.

I need to take a shower. Guess what! I'm gonna save a TON of money on shampoo!! Yep....got a haircut. It's not cut completely off...but it's cut off at my neckline. No, I don't want to take a picture. But it's a lot shorter and I like it. Husband thinks I look older. He needs to shut the hell up. He has that Bride of Frankenstein gray streaking thing going on so he has NO room to talk! But I do have some hair color...we'll see.  Nevertheless...I like it and that's all that counts.

There's a fly in here and it's driving me nuts!! I'm back...needed some Tang! Yummy!

We stayed at a Motel 6 in Odessa while on Dr fest with Husband. It was not the best place, but it was clean...and there was a TUB!!! And tons of hot water. I soaked and soaked and soaked till I was red and prune-y. And then I soaked some more. It was glorious!

We only went to HEB grocery store before we came home. I am not a shopper (except on line as we are all well aware) and Husband wasn't feeling great so good anyway. I

At the risk of offending anyone...I am so f**king sick of 'Reliving Katrina'. Let it go. Oh...and pray with everything you've got that none of these storms that are forming are headed your way this year!

It's raining. A gentle rain. Beautiful.

I'll be back tomorrow. Nite!!
