Onion Dip - Potato Chips - Chocolate Cake

I bet those are a few two word phrases that 'Colon Cleanse' doesn't want to hear! Well, I ate some and I'm not feeling guilty. So there..

Today is husband's birthday. He got a beeeautiful card (from me and Tom) with a picture of what I ordered him! It is a gun cleaning kit that he has wanted forever and I finally found it at an extremely reasonable price...ordered it and it's been on back order for 2 months!! I got a shipment notice that it should be here Tuesday. He's happy. I also found some great aviator style sunglasses (at a super price...thank you EBay!) that he likes and those actually arrived in time. Cheers!!

This should be a slow week. I am ecstatic. I plan to do as little as possible, except stuff for me.
It will almost seems like a vacation.

Did I tell you that I made vegetable beef soup yesterday? I was wonderful. There's enough left for a serving and you know it's always better the second day.

This soup is sentimental for me. Whenever I make it, it reminds me of my Mother-in-law. On Sunday mornings she used to put on a pot of this soup and we would eat it all day long. It was simply full of carrots, celery, onions, cabbage, beef and the perfect amount of spices. The aroma was mesmerizing. So when I make it, which is not often enough, I think of her. She fills my heart with wonderful memories. We have had some fun over the years...I'll write more about her soon.

Husband is watching Hellfighters with John Wayne (very good movie, I hate to admit it!). He thinks he is entitled to choose TV/movies tonight since it's his birthday. I told him he must think everyday is his birthday as he chooses TV/movies every night!  He thinks I'm a smart ass. Go figure.

He says..."You're typing crap on that computer anyway...you're not even watching TV!".

I don't say..."So much for what you know!! I'm typing crap about you...smart ass!!".

I cut my fingernails really short last night. They just don't grow uniformly any more and I keep chipping them anyway. I should have just manicured them correctly, but I wasn't in the mood. I used to be more of a girl. I like polished nails...I just haven't done it for a spell.

This might be a good week to get my hair cut. I need to find a style I like. I think a long shag style. Layered, it think...I need to do some research. What I really want is the perfect cut...short, thick looking, light brown with blond highlights...always perky looking...yeah perky! That's what I really want. What I'll get is the bad ends cut off. Wait a second! I have some 'stuff' to put in it!! I forgot!! I need to check that out...

I think I'll go do something....well...smart. Like make something. It's all sitting here beside me and this the first day of' 'triple up day'...I didn't forget...I'm just procrastinating...again.

See ya later!

  1. I'm 99% sure that I have never in my entire life polished my nails although Fruitcup tried - she gave me a very nice manicure set. I'm not saying that's a good thing - maybe I would have a husband too if I had paid more attention to girlie things.

  2. Now...I only used the little girl's colors...pinks, clear, pearl...not like my 'other' girl friends who preferred...Whore Red...yes I am SURE it's a color!!

I have a manicure kit. I use the clippers. Men suck and not necessarily in a good way. I'll call you in the am...if you see this again tonight.
