Two word phrases you never want to hear...

I'm dying - You're dying - He's (she's) dead - I forgot - Get out - Who's that? - Why me? - I can't - I won't - Help me! - Not now! - You what! - He (she) what! - I what! - Go where? - Put your - Hands up! - (cute, huh?) - but the worst two word phrase for me in the past couple of days...

COLON CLEANSE!

Yes, I know it's disgusting, but since you are my closest friends...and I feel I can share everything with you...well, almost everything...that's it. Colon Cleanse.

The only thing I am sure of is that there can't be anything left to 'cleanse'. I bet if I tipped my head back and you looked down my throat you'd see the floor! And although it pains me to admit it...I do feel better. Sorta. And I have to drink this stuff for a few more days. When I read the 'reviews' most of the cons were...tastes like fungus, dirt and sawdust...not necessarily in that order. It's a dry powder, so I add it to the small containers of Sunny D, shake very, very well, and drink right straight down. To me, it tastes like fungus, dirt, sawdust and Sunny D. And pretty much in that order.

Today is Paul Newman day on TCM. The Sting just started. And who better with Paul Newman...than Robert Redford. It's a two-fer!!

We got a sprinkling of rain this afternoon. Big old storm clouds all around us but nada! We did have a decent storm yesterday afternoon...about 15 minutes. It's wonderful for the grass here and the hills around us are still green and healthy. So unusual in West Texas in August - almost September.

There are hummingbirds and butterflies everywhere. I just never have a camera with me at that opportune moment. This photo is a 'by chance' with me just happening to open the door and the little sucker hung there for me. Not much detail...but cute.

I have a hankering for Jello again. Maybe I should make it with Colon Cleanse powder! And peaches!!

Well, I see they caught the lone Arizona prison escapee and his girlfriend/cousin without fanfare. Kudos to the alert Park Ranger. I was sure they would show up at the Antelope Lodge sooner or later! Actually...I thought they were in Canada.

I made a hat for Francine last night. She was sure I had forgotten all about her but I told her that sometimes I just have to rest...and do nothing. I remember telling you that I needed to make stuff for the Paisano in Marfa. I have made a few pairs of earrings, but not my intended quota. I'll triple up this week. As always, my intentions are good. My stamina? Not so good.

I think I need some soup. Soup is good. I have no appetite today. Except for that Jello. I weighed myself today and I weigh 130. I haven't weighed 130 since I was born...and that was on my left side! I knew I was losing weight, but I seriously didn't think it was that much. Now remember, I have virtually cut out bread and (large quantities) of my previous sugar intake...I don't feel un-healthy...so perhaps this is where I should be. I'm running with that one.

OK. Serious soup time. My phone has been off since I got home because I don't want anyone from the office calling me. I did the same thing last night and will most likely do it again tomorrow night. Soup, Paul Newman and Robert Redford..oh yeah, Husband!! Peaceful...nite!
