Elvis is dead....and I don't feel so good myself...

I stole that line from Lewis Grizzard. He's dead, too, but I still like him. I must have been busy...it's been almost a week! Huh, imagine that.

Let's see...where to start. Husband is watching Pearl Harbor. The shooting in this movie is giving me a headache. Lots-o-gunfire. Sad movie, too. But great actors in it. Graphic.

It was a long day on Saturday, but later in the evening was a treat. There were two guests staying here, Kay and Julie, who I struck up a conversation with and then (sorry girls!) I stuck them with Husband and Paul. They were in town to visit with Julie's daughter who is a student at Sul Ross University and were going to Texas Fusion for dinner. I told them to come over later...and low and behold....they sure 'nough drug their chairs on over. It's odd how sometimes people cross your path...even know some of the same folks you do...and it turns into a relaxing evening of funny conversation. I'm glad I met them. Their plans are to return and I look forward to visiting with them again.

And then....it was Sunday. KILLER Sunday. And now it's Monday. Calm Monday. Loved it.

I need to get busy. I got a call from the manager of the gift shop at the Paisano Hotel in Marfa who wanted to know if I was still making jewelry. Naturally, I said yes!! (I'm not an idiot!) Well, she'd love to see some things when I get a chance. I will be 'getting a chance' next week sometime so I'll get busy...tomorrow. We all know I have tons of stuff to make tons of stuff with...I just need to sit down and do it. They like more of the natural stone and local agate pieces. They also like magnets with the roadrunner painted on them...but I'm not sure I can go that far.

Oh-oh...Part Two of Pearl Harbor...

I'm full. I just ate two bowls of Multi Grain Cheerios. Big bowls. That's a lot of Cheerios. Now I'm drinking Earl Gray tea. Not real smart at 9 PM.

Oh! I don't have diabetes...I have Hypoglycemia. I called it faux-diabetes as the symptoms are so similar. There is both diabetes and hypoglycemia in my family's history. I am seriously glad I have physical control over this and don't have to take any medicine. I have been on this vitamin regimen for over two months now and I have noticed tremendous changes in my health. I just have to get this eating thing under control. I have lost quite a bit of weight and was getting a little worried, but I feel more at ease now, not overly confident...but enough to celebrate with the overindulgence of Cheerios!

It's still the heat that is kicking my ass, though.

I bought some Yankee Candle Sweat Pea Air Freshener. I smells wonderful!!! I have a few of the tea light candles and have never burned them. That's mostly because I just found them. They are so light and sweet smelling...mmmmm!!

Remember when I told you how filthy Pizza Hut and McDonald's were? Dairy Queen is equally as filthy.

Question of the day!!! - Why did you eat there???

Answer - We were hungry...and made the mistake of going inside and seeing the floor. Good thing we couldn't see the kitchen. Good thing they didn't drop anything within our line of sight!

They didn't get the order correct...and we were the ONLY ONES THERE!!!

Word of the day - Inept

Well...time to wash my anatomy. Good night!

  2. I heard that those places have national approved employment applications that require you to have an IQ below 90, unable to understand english or any spoken language for that matter, and not be able to connect pictures on the menu to buttons on the cash register. Well that the rumor anyway!!! LOL
