Every other day...Now I am getting carried away! I was a long, hot Monday. Record highs...so they say. I agree. This was also one of those days when I shouldn't have touched anything sharp. Or run with sissors. I knocked over, spilled and dropped EVERYTHING I put my hands on today. I aged a year a few days ago...and it shows.
I hope I improve quickly, as we are planning to tile a floor in the next couple of days and not only do I have to actually pick up the tile...I have to cut it, too! That ain't good.
I came home today and slept for an hour and a half. THAT is not like me, either. Good news...I have some super multi vitamins in route. Perhaps I'll double up for the first couple of weeks.
The wind is supposed to blow for the next few days. It is so dry here, which is par for the course as this is the desert, after all. But that, too, sucks the life out of you. I have drank more water in the last few years since moving here than I have in my entire life. It is starting to green up outside which inspires the soul to grow something. I hope to buy a few plants tomorrow and sow a few seeds on the fenceline. The hummingbirds have returned so it's time to fill the feeders. There is a great tree by the room, here, and I have a couple feeders hanging already, hummingbird and seed...but may get some more. It's calming to sit out in the evening.
No progress on jewelry in the past few days. Since it's been forever since I have written anything...here's an update. I did go to the Christmas Craft show. It was great. Sold lots of hats...and could have sold many more if I'd had tham. It happened to be FREEZING that day...so hats were very popular!! Lucky for me!! Earring and ornament sales were good, too. My stuff isn't that pricy, so I usually have good sales (when I go!)
The next 'show' is April 17th in co-ordination with the Relay for Life Weekend here. The show itself is sponsored by the 'GO TEXAN' Women's Club in Alpine, and I think I will set up there on Saturday. It's an outsdie show, so we'll pray for good weather. For events like this, I will donate 20% of all sales to the Relay for Life. I have quite a few really pretty pink stone/glass earrings and necklaces made already...and it's a fun crowd to be around.
This post isn't as newsy or as long as I'd planned, but we just had guests stop by and I have a need to visit!
See ya tomorrow!!
Ciao...b
