Work work work...that's all I ever do is work!! And I shall accept my place in hell for lying! Yuk yuk!! It wasn't that bad today. Only a couple of stay overs and many outs. Tomorrow will be a corker...as will Sunday...and Monday...well...I tell ya...that's the killa!!
I am officially on the 'books' for the Fiesta del Sol event...so I will continue to make jewelry. Husband sold 12 pairs of my horsehair earrings today so I'll need to make some for the craft show. Plenty of time!! And no...of course I didn't take photos! You know better!!
I did get some great copper pieces the other day for earrings and will possibly work on them tonight. It's early...so I could become creative if I choose to.
I finally filled the hummingbird feeders (with nectar that I made 2 days ago!) and have them hung outside. Filled up the bird seed feeders and hope the wind will lie for a few days so it doesn't all blow out!
Mary Ann is supposed to be here later this evening and I imagine we'll all get together tomorrow evening for some camaraderie and wine!
Sue...if you are up and about...I hope all went well and you grow another gall bladder. I could give you part of mine since I have TONS of extra gall! Can't have the bladder, though...ain't done with mine yet! Yuk! I just got a visual!!
What a mess in Louisiana and Mississippi with this oil slick mess. OK...here's what I don't understand. I am listening to the 5:30 NBC news...and they just said that the Federal Government has just okeyed the use of the National Guard! What the F*@K !! Did everyone seriously think that this mess was NOT going to make it to the coastline!! Jesus!! Even I can figure that one out...oh...and I think shrimp and oyster prices might take a hike...and I think 'State of Emergency' is a given. I am not being bitter or sarcastic...but guess what...things really DO happen!! Unfortunately, BP Oil is in for a bad bad time...as well as the criticism for not sending help soon enough. OK. I'll shut up now.
Gotta go find a movie to make earrings by. I need to find some books on tape and headphones. I'd much prefer to listen to a 'book' while working. I get too distracted watching TV. (Too much cake!)
Have a great night...

Day Off
Today was my day off. What did I do?? NOTHING! I didn't even leave the room. My phone was off. I watched some TV. Worked on some jewelry. Washed some dishes. Ate some cereal. Took a shower. Read my book. That all constitutes nothing. It was very relaxing.
I got some B-Complex vitamins today. I shall add them to my regimen. Hey Guess what! I was just going to check the spelling of regimen and I usually open a new link to go to the 'dictionary' because I am not smart enough to just access it from the toolbar, and I SWEAR!! I SWEAR!! the spell check has never been on this blog toolbar EVER...and I'll be damned...it's on there tonight!!! I am stunned. I was even arguing with myself that I needed to figure out how to get it on there and low and behold! It's a miracle I tell ya!!! 'O course it don't hep my grammer! Baby steps...
Husband made roast beef for supper. It melted in my mouth. He's not supposed to eat it...but you how it is when you just throw caution to the wind! I live by that mantra!
I sure would like a piece of cake right now. And I am not a cake eater by trade. I am just craving it. I need to stop watching TV. They just showed Rice Krispy Treats. Yummmmmm.....
I need some pants for work. For the summer, actually. I am thinking about capris. I used to wear them when they were called peddle pushers...or clam diggers. Now they are capris. At least they look like the same thing. I don't wear shorts. I have elephant girl legs with veins that look like a map of South America imprinted on them. And by noon after I have been on my feet...they stick out like I have cable wrapped around my legs. Pure D ugly! But as long as I cover up the top part, I won't be so self conscious.
Same thing with tank tops or sleeveless shirts. Won't wear 'em. I have fat upper arms. I am a freak of nature...and nature has not been kind!
I suppose I should get some rest. Long days coming up. Have a great day!

Mid week activities
Guess what! I got some stuff done today! No kidding!
Let's see...worked at work like a slave till 2. Came home and I got the earring cards made (the daisy ones). Then, I actually put some earrings on them! Got 7 new pairs of earrings made (!). Fixed an antipasto plate for supper...and Kettle corn for dessert! Made out my legal pad 'to do list'. That's not too bad...huh?
Nothing is on TV again tonight...so The War Wagon is in right now. Husband's selection. He seems to be taking a power nap right now...so by the time he wakes up, this movie will be over (unwatched) and I'll put MY selection in! I am thinking about What Happens in Vegas. I like that movie. Most definitely a no brainer. Either that or Man of the House with Tommy Lee Jones.
I will be off tomorrow and I am thinking of staying home. I could catch up on lots of jewelry making if I put my mind to it. I should go downtown and just walk through some stores. I never do that! And I am not being sarcastic...I just don't do it! I'll think about it.
It was another beautiful day today. It was a little breezy, but a glorious spring day. I am still stunned that it will be May in just a couple of days. Crazy...
What I really should do tomorrow is go buy some plants. Yeah!! That sounds like a great idea! I have a pot of hummingbird nectar on the stove cooling and I need to refill the bird seed feeders that are in the tree out here, too. The wind that we had last week really played havoc on them, so I need to secure them better to the branches.
Well, I am ready to check some emails and take a shower before my movie! Have and enjoyable evening!

Plain old Tuesday
It was a nothing much day. Busy but not exhausting. I did go out about an hour ago and open up some of the rooms for the photos. There were several more available than what I thought would be, so that was very good. It was a beautiful evening and the sky was soft and pretty.
There is nothing on TV...AT ALL! Husband as put Tin Star in to watch. Henry Fonda is great to watch any time. I finished the book I was reading (Finger Lickin' Fifteen - Janet Evanovich) and am looking at The Last Juror (John Grisham) as my next choice. I have never read it...and haven't read a 'thinker book' in a while. I don't have the attention span for it.
Did I mention that I received a notice for jury duty? It's for next Tuesday, May 4th. Curious. I have mixed feelings about it. It would be interesting to say the least...and I'd get away from here(!) and I would be doing my civic duty...we'll see what happens.
I didn't finish the earring cards. I HAVE to do that tomorrow without fail. I'm just not in the mood. I am not feeling very well. I'm not sure why...I have seriously been eating OK...sleeping OK...I admit I am very tired still. My head feels all foggy. And I have been taking my vitamins!! Maybe that's it! Maybe I am in transition to getting healthy! Holy crap...this is no fun!!
I think I need to get out a legal pad and write some stuff down. Such as...lists of things to do. In order...by day...and a check off list. Maybe that would help. I need discipline. I need a day off. Oh, that will be Thursday...possibly. We hope. We'll see what tomorrow brings and go from there.
I think I know what I need to do. I need to write a 'True Bitch Blog'. This would be for my eyes only...so I can go back and see what the f#@K was pissing me off on that particular day! Right now I have 20 things that are rolling around in my head...but they only matter to me!. Perhaps just the act of writing them down would be therapeutic. (And yes I just looked up the spelling to that word because it's just doesn't look right...) I'm going to think about this bitch writing issue.
I also just decided to see what other Janet Evanovich book I want to read. I have decided that I want more light reading.
I'll be back!!

Easy Monday
Not a bad day today. It was just me and LeAnn, and only 3 outs. A few stays...but nothing drastic. I hung curtains and fixed up a couple of the rooms for photos tomorrow. Nothing drastic there, either.
I got a package from my cousin Sue today (thank you, Sue...hope you are feeling ok!!) with a funeral notice and photo of our cousin Billy who passed away last month. It was very nice and oh so respectful.
I should have made earrings when I got home today but I didn't feel like it. I definitely need to finish them tomorrow and also decide on a card and print them out. I thought about doing that in a few minutes, but Husband just put in Six Days and Seven Nights. I haven't seen that movie in ages and it's kind of cute. So I am going to write just a few lines and watch it!
It was a beautiful day today...and more of the same expected tomorrow.
I lied...I am writing 2 lines...nite!!

I missed a day or two...huh!!
I seriously thought I had written on here last night...but I guess not!! Anyway...we went out to dinner last night at the Reata with Paul and Mary Ann. It was so good and I had a wonderful time. It's so seldom that we go out to dinner ( I know I have said that before) so this was a definite treat. I had a shrimp pasta dish...EXCELLENT!! We also had a nacho type appetizer with grilled chicken, guacamole and black beans...can't remember the name of it...but damn it was good!!!!! I had a couple glasses of wine...great conversation with Mary Ann...it was nice!
A nice time before a busy day today. It should be uneventful for a couple of days before we are converged on again with the WIld Child Cycle Club.
I have been trying to catch up on some email stuff...and placing a few orders for 'supplies'. I am just tired enough that when I take a shower in a few minutes...I will be out! Nite Nite!! Buzzing ZZ'sssssss! I do have some left over food to eat which I will shortly...
Not much on tv tonight anyway. I will try to read, but that will surely put me to sleep!
I need to work on jewelry. I need to craft. I need to do lots of things!! Tomorrow's another day.
Guess what...I can't think of anything to say! How wierd is that?!! Especially for me. I'm just tired.
See you later...

Thank God it's Friday
Who knew there were so many motorcycles? Well, there are and a lot of them are here. And more are coming. Like locusts. And it's windy, too. And I have a sinus headache.
I just paid my dues, literally, to Amazon and Ebay. I feel it is my duty to purchase 'stuff'. I DO use this stuff...eventually. I mostly got more jewelry stuff tonight. And Amazon posted a 68% increase in sales/profit today. For that I will say, Amazon.com...you are welcome!
I am thinking about getting a rock polisher. God knows I have access to mucho slabs for jewelry making...so I will research some tonight.
Busy day today. Not as bad as it's going to be tomorrow and only half as bad as it is going to be on Sunday! Ahhh...something to look forward to!
I was home fairly early and I was able made a few things today. I got a lot done yesterday. I always promise pictures, but I will sincerely try to take photos of some of my stuff this weekend. I also need to put the business cards into production. I have designed a couple. One more western-y and the other more me - daisy. The daisy is my birth month flower, along with the sweet pea. I have always loved daisies. I love the smell of sweet peas, too. Tom likes the taste of Bush's Baked Beans!
I am amazed that the wireless has stayed on tonight with the wind blowing so hard. It has been sporadic every night this week, and it seems that when I am ready to write...it's off! It really pisses me off, but I guess I shouldn't bitch. Technology is truly a miracle and I am embarassed that do bitch so much when I am so fortunate to be able to have access to the universe!!
Hey Sue! I don't remember where I was in November through April!! Well...I was moving, working, bitching, half the time without internet service, bitching, whining, promising myself that I would 'write on my blog!' and, I assume, bitching! What day is your surgery? (in case you haven't noticed...I have no conception of time passing) If you have had it...I hope you are feeling MUCH better! If you are having it tomorrow...I know you WILL feel better! I am thinking of you, as I do every day. I love you...
I am going to go get wet and then go horizontal. Oh yeah!! The movie...'All about Steve' with Sandra Bullock is really cute...
Night all...

Crafting
I need to make some horsehair earrings. Actually, Husband makes the tassles for me and I pair them up with beads and the earwires. I had them laid out and was on a roll when Tom Kitty decided to help me. He managed to flop down on and roll all over everything so I got pissed and put them up. I finish some later.
It was fast day. Kind of busy for a Monday, but we still got out early. Tomorrow should be the same. I hope so. I still am tired from remodeling. I am old. And tired. And old.
I am going to search for a few jewelry making blogs tonight. First I have to figure out how to save them to my own blog to read later as well as follow them. I like to get marketing tips from other crafters. I found one site on making really sharp looking earring cards. I spend more time trying to figure out how to rotate the type and add stuff to cards that I get frustrated and quit. So maybe I can finds some hints.
My friend suggested looking on You Tube and I could watch someone design a card...I'll try that too. I used to buy great business cards with designs already on them so I could print off a sheet at a time. They work well...but I want to add a few personal touches.
Have you ever drank Darjeeling tea? It's good. Have I asked that question before? It sounds familiar?
My hands are really stiff. I was having a hard time dealing with the head pins when making the earrings earlier. Maybe I should knit or crochet something to loosten them up. I still have lots of yarn (drawers of it!) and I should make a few more hat and scarf sets. Plus I can read and knit at the same time!
It's only 6:30 and I have plenty of 'working time' left before sleepy time. I don't think any thing good is coming on tonight. We have a million movies, so I'm sure something will stike our fancy.
I was going to post a few photos, but don't have access to them from the itty bitty netbook. Need to figure out how to transfer them, too. Maybe they are in my Yahoo account? I'll check it out.
Well...have a great evening and will see you later!! Ciao!!

Have you ever eaten Kim Chee?
I am watching Fit TV right now. Blaine Jellus is making Kim Chee with Chinese cabbage and massive amounts of spices...Husband has made this before. It's a preserved/pickled dish and isn't too bad....but definitely spicey.
OK...it was an easy day. We got done relatively early. I came home and made 3 necklaces! I want you to know that this was difficult since I got 12 (count them...TWELVE books!) in the mail today!! What a challenge. Oh...and I did laundry! Holy crap! So busy!!
Now Blaine is making BBQ beef. We had pasta with Husband's homemade marinara sauce. Delicioso!!! Yes, I had the pasta...but NO garlic bread! Hey...NO bread products at all today!!
Monumental!! (my mantra!)
I have already taken a shower...got the tea right here beside me...ready to relax! Got nothing to say...can you believe it! Have a great night!!

Glorious sunny day!
Even though today was busy, busy, busy...it was a beautiful day. The sun was shining and you could almost hear the grass turn green. Had a salad for lunch...no cupcakes (yet!!) and water all day. Hey, this might not mean much to you...but even one day bread free is monumental for me!
We stopped at the Triangle market (convienence store) for coffee and I could hear those little fruit pies screaming ME!! BUY ME!!!! I was strong! But I'd kill for one right now...
I printed off the 'foods to avoid list for Fybromyalgia' to remind myself once again of how to behave myself. It's depressing.
And I checked on the next craft show...it's not Cinco de Mayo...it's Fiesta del Sol on June 19th. I have already called about a table space. There are usually spaces in front of downtown businesses for local artists...so I may check to see if I can set up somewhere there, but if not...I can set up in the general artist's area. You never know what the weather will be for that show, either.
Fiesta del Sol is 3-4 days of fun stuff. Most of the stores downtown will offer food and wine or margaritas in the late afternoon and evening. There is always music playing and some local talent performing. When we first moved here 5 years ago, I set up in front of Front Street Books. I wasn't familiar with the show at that time and I was there with my jewelry at noon. It was hotter than hell and I thought I was going to die!! Not many people were walking around and it was a little disappointing, until I realized that most everyone came out on the streets around 5 PM !!. By then, I was ready to go home...but stayed and had a great and prosperous time! And after a few glasses of wine (which was flowing pretty good by then...since everyone who came by to visit brought me one!) I decided it was a fun show to be at after all!!
I haven't set up since...only because I've been too busy. I hope this works out.
I am going to put a few things together this evening. I have several pre-bagged things to do so I'll get creative.
I got an email from my cousin Susan. (Hi Sue!) She is to have surgery in the next few days and said she was going to print my blog to read while she is in the hospital. I am excited for her to do that.( Read the blog...not have surgery!!) I also want to apologize to her, and anyone else who might read this, but particularly to my family. I am not a letter writer. I can't explain why I can sit and type this blog (although I do miss days and months at a time!)...but I don't write letters to those who mean so very much to me. I am rude, crude and socially unacceptable!! So, to Sue and all my wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and mother-in-law(!)...I am so sorry I am too lazy to write...but I truly do love you more than life itself. Thank you or being the best memories of my life and making me whole.
I am so fortunate to have a wonderful family and extrordinary friends.
Now I am going to go do something creative with beads. Have an amazing night!

Better day!!
OK...remember yesterday when I said I couldn't find that little plug in thing for the wireless mouse?? Well...guess what! It was actually stored IN THE MOUSE!! Not in the BOX! Well technically it was in the box cuz it was in the mouse and the mouse was in the box...screw it...you know what I mean!! But I pulled it out and now I am 'plugged in' and am able to scroll to my hearts content!! Know what my mousepad is??? My birthday card from my Aunt Betty!! OOOOOO....I am SO inventive! PS...if I had read the 'instructions'...I would have known where the mouse was!
I am so glad that I did NOT go to the outdoor craft show today! It rained like a spotted ass ape (don't you love that euphemism!). It is second only to...'you couldn't throw a dead cat without hitting that thing!...I would love to organize a Dead Cat Throwing Competition...Betcha those PETA people would travel MILES for that show!!
Anyway...this morning there was 100% humidity. It was damp. Then...it drizzled through out the morning and by noon...we had a pretty good storm (thunder and lightning and everything!) and then a couple more showers later in the afternoon. I have no idea how many poeple showed up to sell, but I'll check and see. The next show, I think, is Cinco de Mayo. I need to check the paper...
The two rooms we were working in (shower repair) are done!! The grout is drying as we speak and the rooms will be available tomorrow. We also had another shower handle issue today...and thank God it was an easy fix. I am amazed at how much Bobbie and I have learned about plumbing and electrical repair and installation. Definitely more than I ever wanted to know...
I just ate a Little Debbie's chocolate cupcake. And no...I shouldn't have eaten it. But I did. And it was great! I will regret it later when I can't sleep. And when my legs and joints ache because I shouldn't eat flour...and all that crap. I need to really get a hold of myself and practice self discipline. It is my own fault when I feel like shit.
Our friend Jack broke/shattered his hip and broke another bone in his leg. He will have surgery on Monday. The delay is becasue they (he VA doc in El Paso) found a problem with his heart. I don't know details as yet. Jack is almost 80 and sure doesn't need this. (Does anyone?) Husband is watching his house and dog and wlll contact the utilities on Monday. I'll go over in a day or two and clean the refrigerator and take some photos of the house just for GP's. I spoke to his niece earlier tonight and assured her we will do all we can for Jack. She (Mary Ann) and her significant other, Paul, have become very close and trusted friends. I wish they lived closer. They live in Santa Teresa, NM...just a hop, skip and jump from El Paso.
I actually made 4 pairs of earrings tonight! Not much....but better than none!
This itty bitty netbook is quite fun. So much easier just sitting right here in bed. Great gift.
Remember the Titans is on. That's a good movie. I need a quick shower and I think I relax and watch it. That means I'll be asleep in 15 minutes unless Little Debbie's kicks in!! See ya later!

Madre Fuker
OK...a few minutes ago I was all happy that I was typing this entry on this itty bitty machine. Well...guess what....it's pissing me off! I keep typing without looking at what I am doing...and I haven't had this long enough to know what the hell I am doing...much less without looking!!!!
And get this...I ordered the wireless mouse thing...which said it came with the plug in thing...well...I can't find the damn plug in thing in the frigging box!! So I am still rolling this freaky rolling thing on the itty bitty keyboard....
I won't be on here much longer...I needed to vent...sorry...and I need to make a few calls tonight anyway. One of our older friends is in route to either Odessa or El Paso (via Life Flight) with a broken leg. I am not sure of all the details...Husband is the media man on this one...
Good/bad day today. I need a drink...Later friends

Long week
Very busy week. Lots of people...lots of projects...very busy. But I like it that way...sometimes. We are a hair away from being done in the latest 'complete remodel' room. What is left is basically cleaning it...the floor is outstanding...we 'decorated' and it looks really nice. The next 'make over' room is a horror and will be so time consuming (for us). We will have to completely scrape the walls and possibly the ceiling. Tile the floor. Replace faucets in bathroom and kitchen. It's a lot of work for 2 girls to do...but to be honest...we really like doing this work. What hurts us is when we have to juggle housekeeping crap and other menial tasks and put our 'remodeling' day on hold or postponed.
We are working in 2 other adjoining rooms right now. The shower 'stuff' was replaced and we are finishing up the tiling and repair in the closets where the access to the adjoining showers was gotten to. What should have been a semi-easy job has turned into...yep...you guessed it...a cluster f#@K! Nothing ever fits quite right back in after it's been taken out. We have to make a quick trip to the hardware store in the AM and hope to finish up the job(s) tomorrow. Here's hoping!
We do get a great sense of accomplishment and self satisfaction when we complete a room, though. I am very proud of Bobbie and me!
We have had some good rain. And even though it was predicted today, we got none (as yet). Every thing is greening up nicely. I love spring.
OH!! I got my new notebook/netbook computer!! What ever you call it! It's so small and cute!! I'm on the 'big one' right now as I needed to access other stuff and print things...but it is so nice to sit in bed and just look stuff up! I ordered a handy dandy little case and a wireless mouse as the thing you have to touch to move the arrow thing around (obviously the name escapes me!) is a pain in the ass! Other than that...it's so convenient!
I hear motorcycles driving in...oh joy!! And I hear my book calling my name. I am almost done. Then it is shower time. I need some hot tea and a bag of Pecan Sandie cookies...but I'll settle for the tea! Glad I decided not to go to the craft show. Now I don't feel guilty if I don't make anything! It better rain on Saturday!!
Will (hopefully) be back tomorrow...have a nice evening!!

Monday...day after Sunday 'rain day'!!
It was a very busy day today...finished the tiling of the floor...1/3 grouted. I am beat. Physically beat. But we had a very enjoyable evening. Our good friend Paul is here from New Mexico. Today is Paul's mothers 91st birthday and we went to the nursing home with him (she is currently here in Alpine) to bring a gift and good cheer. She is absolutely in LOVE with Husband!
We visited a bit and then Paul, Husband and I went to the Reata restaurant for dinner. It was SOOOOO good!! I got their signature Tortilla Soup and the Wedge Lettuce salad. Now...that was wonderful! It was a 1/4 head of lettuce (obviously the 'wedge') with a sweet Italian style dressing and chunks of really creamy Bleu Cheese. I will order this again...I could only eat a few mouthfuls of it as I wanted to finish the soup at the restaurant and take the balance of the salad home. I don't eat huge meals and I can't imagine being able to eat soup, salad and an entree all at one time (anymore). Years ago I could polish off the 'Grande platter of anything'...but no more. And I am definitely a soup and salad eater. Great meal...relaxing evening.
I am not sure about the craft show this weekend. Rain is predicted for the whole week. We have literally not had rain in months...and yesterday was a deluge! We had hail...it was quite a storm. And I expect rain before the night is out, tonight. There is not a star in the sky and we can hear some thunder rumbling. And....the extended forcast is for rain through Saturday. The craft show is outside, and I think I just won't take the chance. I have plenty of places to sell, so that's not a problem...I just like to go to craft shows when the opportunity arises. The next one will be most likely around the 4th of July. We'll see.
I bid on some books on ebay. Isn't that a hoot? I have a million to sell, but I bought (I think) a few paperbacks. They are the fast, light Janet Evanovich mystery books that I like. There were several in the lot and I had only read a couple of them, so I will pass them on when I am done. I'll check in a minute to see if I got them. I also bought another beading book on 'techniques' on Amazon.
I also bought a notebook/laptop computer...or whatever you call it. It will be here tomorrow. It was a birthday present from Husband...but I waited till I found the one I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. So I will hopefully get it all lined out tomorrow. Now I can come home from work, shower, go to bed and not move! Does it get any better than that!!
Will write later...have a nice night all!

Saturday...in the park...I wish I would have been there today!!
But...alas...I was not. BUT...I did have the day off today! It was nice. I cleaned stuff. Or should I say..re-arranged it. Put it in another place, space or box. Or that big, giant, green metal box commonly referred to as a 'dumpster'! I found some missing stuff...stuff that I have absolutely NO idea when it got here or where it came from...stuff you say 'holy crap I forgot I had this, to' and just plain old...NOW what am I gonna do with this!!
Nevertheless, it is all put up/away. I am fulfilled. I did laundry. Cooked supper (real food!) and will soon relax with a good book. I can guarantee I'll be asleep within a few minutes...but a nice restful sleep. Then I can start again tomorrow. I have taken vitamins 2 days in a row. As you can see, I am promoting my good values, here...
Oh..and I haven't even bought anything on line today! THAT is amazing! I am the on line shopping queen....I had thought about looking up some jewelry stuff...I certainly don't need it...but I'm thinking I just want it...but since the 'show' is Saturday...there may not be enough time to receive it prior to then. I'll just restrain myself.
Truth be known, I know even if I ordered something it wouldn't be shipped until Monday anyway...so we BOTH know I have a full day to order if I really want something. We'll see.
It was a busy day yesterday. And payday to boot. We almost finished the floor. There are still the edge pieces to cut, but that is minimal. We will finish that up on Monday and grout on Tuesday. It will be busy tomorrow with the regular day to day crap. I am sort of surprised at how quickly I am getting tired lately. I know I am not in perfect health by any means, but sometimes I wear out so fast.
It is a beautiful evening. The sun was so warm today...and guess what! We may actually some rain in the next couple of days! THAT would be wonderful!!
I have to move in a minute. Tom wants to look out the window. Not that he couldn't look out all day today..but feels the need to look out NOW!!! And 'Cat Daddy' is saying...Brenda...Brenda...Brenda...Tom wants to look out the window...Brenda...Brenda...Look at the cat...He wants to looks out the window.. If I didn't have to clean up the mess I throw them both through the window!
I'm going to go read. They are driving me nuts.. Have a great evening!!

Thursday's child has far to go
Ain't that the truth! I missed Wednesday completely. I came home from work and took a few Excedrin Extra Strength with a cup of tea...took a shower...and that's all she wrote!
Today was 'tile the floor day'. We got about a third of it done and will most likely finish tomorrow so it can set for the weekend and we can grout on Monday. If I didn't mention that I was having a problem with the drain in the kitchen...I was having a problem with the drain in the kitchen. I have stressed over this for a few days. I think I had a sub-conscious plumbing dream cuz I came up with a plan and it worked! It was a washer issue. Since lots of the plumbing and electrical 'things' here are of the pre-fossil era...there are unusual configurations in some of the 'things'. This was a metal going into PVC 'thing' and I actually had to fix it...backwards. Or back asswards..as I like to refer to it.
Anyhoo...it worked. I am happy. So...the counter is tiled...the bathroom is tiled...stuff is hung on the wall...painting is done...bathroom faucet replaced...kitchen faucet replaced...bathroom light replaced...shit! I'm really tired now!!
Beautiful day today. The sun is glorious. And the humidity is like...2 %!! I know, I know....it's the desert...but it felt great. We so desperately need rain but I don't think there is any in the forecast.
I am about to warm something up for supper and make some earrings. I could just eat cereal if Husband would settle for leftovers. Wait a minute! He knows how to cook...as a matter of fact...MUCH better that I can! Change of plan. He needs to fix me supper. He could pour me cereal and I'd be happy!.
May write more later. If not...have a great night all!

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday...
Lose your dreams...and you will lose your mind...
Been there...done that. Another day in paradise.
Have you ever plunged a toilet SO hard...that you pulled up a purple toothbrush? I did today. Let's not say how long it took to get to that point...but it sure made for an interesting day! Smart ass that I am...I offered it back to the guest, but she said it wasn't hers. Well...that's what she'd like you to believe!! And my shoulders and back said to me...hey bitch! Remember how sore I was yesterday after you loaded 300 tons of floor tile into that wheelbarrow...well...WE STILL HURT! So knock of the plunging! I did.
Then...Bobbie and I went to 'Old lady day' at Beall's. On the first Tuesday of the month, if you are over 50...you get 20% of your entire purchases at Beall's (our ONLY department store here in Alpine). We have an Alco...that's our Wal-Mart wanna be...and it's different than Beall's. They don't sell toilet paper and motor oil at Beall's. But they do have some good deals at Beall's when you look for them. I had an exchange and looked at stuff. Bobbie shopped for her grand daughter's birthday. It was a nice break in the day.
Then we stopped at McDonald's for the healthy and filling Lent Fish Sandwich. I know...it's over...but the sign is still up. Have you ever had the Fish Sandwich from McDonald's? They put 1/2 slice of cheese on it. No shit. A HALF of a slice of cheese!! The first time I saw this...I called and told them they had forgotten something on my sandwich. Half the cheese was missing. The happy hostess said...nope...that's what we put on it. I said...You HAVE to be kidding! She said...nope...that's it. I said...next time I order one...can I pay extra for a WHOLE piece of cheese...or could you just give me 2 half pieces and skimp on the next one?? She said...nope...we have standards. Maybe...but you don't have CHEESE!!! I still haven't stopped laughing!!
We keep cheese here in the refrigerator, so if I really craved it...it's only across the room. I thought about that today when I opened the sandwich and half of the half piece of cheese was stuck to the f*%$#g side of the BOX!!! I bitched and ate it. The coke was watery, too. I'll shut up now.
Came home tired (and not just from shopping and eating) and should just sleep till Friday when the vitamins get here. I checked the tracking number. Free shipping is great, but takes twice as long on some stuff. I haven't taken vitamins in 2 years...I can wait 2 weeks.
Made 6 pairs of earrings tonight. Quite pretty, I might add. Then we watched a Ma and Pa Kettle movie. Now it's shower time...then sleep time. Then I get up and do all this crap all over again.
Oh well...it's great to be alive (honest!!) Have a good one...

Monday Monday It was all I hoped it would be...
Every other day...Now I am getting carried away! I was a long, hot Monday. Record highs...so they say. I agree. This was also one of those days when I shouldn't have touched anything sharp. Or run with sissors. I knocked over, spilled and dropped EVERYTHING I put my hands on today. I aged a year a few days ago...and it shows.
I hope I improve quickly, as we are planning to tile a floor in the next couple of days and not only do I have to actually pick up the tile...I have to cut it, too! That ain't good.
I came home today and slept for an hour and a half. THAT is not like me, either. Good news...I have some super multi vitamins in route. Perhaps I'll double up for the first couple of weeks.
The wind is supposed to blow for the next few days. It is so dry here, which is par for the course as this is the desert, after all. But that, too, sucks the life out of you. I have drank more water in the last few years since moving here than I have in my entire life. It is starting to green up outside which inspires the soul to grow something. I hope to buy a few plants tomorrow and sow a few seeds on the fenceline. The hummingbirds have returned so it's time to fill the feeders. There is a great tree by the room, here, and I have a couple feeders hanging already, hummingbird and seed...but may get some more. It's calming to sit out in the evening.
No progress on jewelry in the past few days. Since it's been forever since I have written anything...here's an update. I did go to the Christmas Craft show. It was great. Sold lots of hats...and could have sold many more if I'd had tham. It happened to be FREEZING that day...so hats were very popular!! Lucky for me!! Earring and ornament sales were good, too. My stuff isn't that pricy, so I usually have good sales (when I go!)
The next 'show' is April 17th in co-ordination with the Relay for Life Weekend here. The show itself is sponsored by the 'GO TEXAN' Women's Club in Alpine, and I think I will set up there on Saturday. It's an outsdie show, so we'll pray for good weather. For events like this, I will donate 20% of all sales to the Relay for Life. I have quite a few really pretty pink stone/glass earrings and necklaces made already...and it's a fun crowd to be around.
This post isn't as newsy or as long as I'd planned, but we just had guests stop by and I have a need to visit!
See ya tomorrow!!
