I told you about the new hat patterns...right? They are cute. I am going to try to make one. I'm concerned, however, as the pattern, although not seriously complicated in the least, might be too complicated for me. Any time the directions start out...Chain 2, 6 sc (single crochet) in 2nd ch from hook. (6 sc) Place marker. What marker. I don't have no stinkin' marker! And I want to start this thing tonight...let's see...what to use...what to use...HEY!! Safety pins! I have a ton of them!! Brilliant. Let's see...if I was a safety pin where would I be...hmmmmm...shit...I have no idea.

What else can I use...BAM to the head! I can count! Sure...I can just count the stitches...what an idiot!.

OK....let's see...let me read on....OK Round 2...2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc) K.............

Round 3...(Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (18sc) ......Shit.

Round 4...(Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around. (24 sc)...Jeeeezzzuussss....

Unfortunately....what I am 'sc'-ing is not looking like the picture. Perhaps by the time I get to (166,734) around....I'll be all over it!

Don't ya just love apples?

I do. And I'm not supposed to eat too many of them. Maybe none...I don't know...but I sure do like 'em. We had to go to Ft. Stockton a few days ago and went into Wal-Mart for only five things. Medication, oranges, apples, cat litter and milk. I forgot the milk. But got the other stuff. I have eaten the medication and apples and most of the oranges. Unfortunately I use up all my excess calorie intake from the oranges by spitting out the 100's of seeds that are in them. They still taste good...were cheap...(hence the seeds)...and I am feeling better. My blood sugar is staying fairly well in check even with me eating fruit. Gotta do it. It's the law.

It was cold today and semi snowy. We got off super light compared to Odessa/Midland...even Ft. Stockton! They got slammed! I wish we had gotten more. A little more precip is predicted later in the week....let us pray....

I am antsy. I feel some impending doom. Maybe not bad doom...just some doom. Doom. Doesn't even sound like a word....

Hawaii 5-0 is on. Already seem it...but it's good nevertheless. I hope I can finish this before the internet goes out again. It has been on/off all day and it's irritating. I did some research earlier and had to keep 'saving' stuff constantly as I'd loose the signal. Bummer............

I have found some great patterns on line....saved in anticipation of next December's craft show! LOL! I should make my to-do list right now....and stick to it! That's gonna happen!

I'm very sad. My very good and dear friend is not doing well. My heart hurts. Life isn't fair. Today I am disappointed.

Goodness...they may be more winter weather on the way! News at 10!! I think I'll post...before I lose. Have a wonderful evening and think about the people you love.

Do you know how long an eternity is??

However many days it's been since November 22...that's how long an eternity is.. And I have a cold. I have had it for 29 hours...and it feels like I have had it for an eternity.

I hate sneezing. I hate sniffling. I hate a sore throat. Right this minute I hate just about everything. I hate that 30 minute period while the medication is wearing off and the new dose is taking effect. I'm thinking hot tea is making me nauseous. Broth is repulsive. Hard candy is making my tongue sore. The smartest thing I did was to buy 3 boxes of Puffs with Lotion a month ago.

Christmas has come and gone...the New Year is here...2012. Wow! I didn't think I'd make it to 2000. What a nightmare!! Let's see...do I have any resolutions? Sure! Plenty of them. Am I going to keep them?? I doubt it. Here's a good one...I resolved to...without fail!...write EVERY DAY!! BAM! Cross that one out!! I resolved to take better care of myself...BAM! Cross that one out! I have gotten more sleep. Unfortunately, it's induced by Coricidin HB...whatever! I'll take it!

Can you tell that I am having a negative day? It won't be this way tomorrow. It's only negative because I feel like shit. Tomorrow will be a shitless feeling day. Honest.

I think perhaps I'll eat a cookie. With some dreaded hot tea. Sorry for the downer. Manana!!

Johnny we hardly knew ye....

An anniversary of sorts....and it's really cold!

Dang! It's been a while since I've been here!! And the funny part? Accoring to my last 'blog title'...11 days ago it was gonna get cold...today it's really cold! (Sorry Maine family! Texas cold)) It didn't get out of the 40's today and I think it's 31 right now...it's around 7:30 pm....no rain but the wind was blowing a bit today. I like it, personally, but some of the folks around here were dressed like Eskimos. Geez people! It's gonna get worse! Cowboy up!!

And the anniversary thing? One year ago today I was diagnosed with Diabetes. A whole year!! Doesn't seem possible...I should have celebrated with cake, don't you think?? But I was good...

It's been quite busy (hence the no blogging issue) and I am trying to utilize my time smartly. (I like that word...) We had a really nice wedding reception in the courtyard on Tuesday evening. The couple that got married...got married on top of a mountain...and then spent the day rock hunting....go figure. They are a really sweet couple...he's the rock person and jewelry maker...and she is a hiker and librarian. And she's really funny. (We get along well!) Husband and I made chicken enchilada casserole and all the Mexican fixin's and also had fruit and veggie platters, shrimp quesdillas, coconut and chocolate cake and some champagne. They had not idea we were going to do it and were really surprised and touched. It was neat. And the weather that night was beautiful.

Then the cold front came in...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Husband goes to the hospital on Sunday. He has back surgery on Monday morning. He plans to be well by Monday afternoon. I agree.

I just a some Pecan Brittle. It's not very good because the pecans taste old. So I'll only eat one piece. After all....it's my anniversary.....

It's amazing how time flies, isn't it?? I have a craft show in a little over a month. It seems like it just got over from last year! My life is in a downhill spiral. I'm guessing it's about half over....

I wish I didn't feel so lazy tonight. I am too tired to do anything. That's the problem with being in cold, fresh air....plusses and  minuses...

I hope it doesn't take me so long to get back here...I work tomorrow. I know...that's not en early excuse...just a fact. See you later
