Why, yes she can! Let's see...how difficult is it. Turn on oven - Open box - Take pie out of box - Put pie in oven - Open oven 75 minutes later (yes!!! I said 75 minutes!!) and take cooked pie out. Let pie cool 5 minutes. Cut piece. Cover it with Cool Whip. Eat it.
I have had this pie for a while. As a matter of fact...it's the pie that I bought from a friend who's son was selling yummy stuff to raise money for his soccer team. Since Husband loves cherry pie it seemed like the perfect choice. It was delivered on the day I found out I had diabetes. How friggin' appropriate! I have offered to cook it for Husband several times...but he always says...no, maybe later. This time...he said yes. It looks really good. He just ate some. It's tempting.
"Be strong!" my inner voice is screaming!!
"Shut the f**k up!" my weakened sugar starved skeletal remains are screaming louder...
We'll see who wins...film at 11.....
A little cooler today and cloudy. It was a nothing day for me. I am making jewelry. I'll make some for the shop in the office and some for me. I'll share. And I changed my mind on the watchband. I got tired of looking for watch faces that I liked and took the band back...but I decided on a watch that was there. It has some turquoise on the sides, but still has the expandable band and a decent watch face. I like it. There is a matching one I could get for Husband but it's $140 and I don't think he would wear it. I got him a Chronograph a couple of years ago for Christmas and he likes it. He isn't into a watch for decoration. I'm not, either, but since I have the barter thing going on...I'm OK with this one. And it's actually signed inside...Mellanie/Zuni. Cool. Sorry...you know I take shitty pictures. Do you like the background? It's called...'used kitchen towel with dish cloth'...very chic!!
We will be out of town for a few days. I am ready to go. We don't leave until Monday the 17th, but I could get in the truck right now. I use a purse once a year and this will be it. I replenished my other Blood Glucose Kit and it's already in there. Now I just need the incidentals. Tissues, gum, pad of paper, book, nothing of any consequence, just stuff. I don't like purses. I hope I don't lose it. I am so not used to carrying anything.
Six Days Seven Nights is on. It's kind of cute. Better than...Beyond the Hunt...or...Are You Sure Hitler is Dead??...or that all time family favorite...Monster Jam...
When I went to work this morning there was a dead sparrow in the driveway. Only one...but he was dead alright. Must have hit a Boeing 727 during the night.
Who ever bought the property next door was in a cherry picker this afternoon putting a flag pole up. And I mean way up...It's 50 feet in the air with an American flag and a Texas flag. It looks very nice. When I see them, I'll say thanks.
I think I go back to creating for a while. I'm in the mood.....Have a nice evening!

T'was a mediocre day...
I am clean and relaxed. Husband made me a nice supper and I am sufficiently full.
I want a watch. Let me clarify...I want a watch that runs. I have a couple of watches...but they have expired. A battery, you say?? Simple enough solution.
Here's what I have so far...and this, I fear, will be temporary.
I swapped some hats for a watchband. An expandable band with silver ends that have an Indian design cut in...but no watch face. I thought it would be easy finding a watch face. It is. There are plenty of them to choose from...but I am just picky. I want a simple silver piece that has to be about 1/2 inch wide to attach. There are tons of inch wide and megas of beadable with 2,3 & 4 loops to bead to...but nothing I like....yet. I'll find one or I'll find something other than the watch band to swap for. I want something plain and not large and turquoise-y or inlaid. I got to thinking it might be easier to find an inexpensive watch online. It is. Now...do I really want one?
I got several things crossed of the list(s) today. Ah...the sweet smell of success! It was a little windy this afternoon...but still a nice day. The dude on the radio at noon today said we were in for a drastic change in the weather next week. I looked on line and it shows the highs being in the 30's on Monday and Tuesday. Might be nice. I still hope it rains this weekend.
I think I need to take some iron. Maybe that's why I am tired. Granted, I work sort of hard, but I shouldn't feel this tired. I have a new bottle and I think they will be added to my daily pill intake. Maybe I should eat liver. I like liver. But I do not like fava beans. Or Chianti. I like Sangria. It's red.
Feet still feel good. What a difference. Why did I wait so long??
Husband is watching Robin Hood. Again. I hope something else is on TV after this. I spoke too soon. He just shut it off (Yippee!)Husband is taking a nap...Let's see....Witches of Eastwick? Deliverance!? Border Wars?? Snapped!! That's it!! I'll pick up a few pointers...
Nice and Easy Brown. Simple. I like it. Haven't done it yet...but I like it.
I am going to watch TV for a while. It's too early to go to sleep...but who knows? Night!

Grapefruit - the King of citrus!!
I like grapefruit. I hate peeling it and sectioning it....but I like to eat it. Life is full of concessions.
I found a jacket today. Not a blazer...but it is nice. It was old lady day at Bealls and I walked in, found it immediately and walked out. Case closed. Less than ten dolla'...Then, I looked on eBay (just cuz) and there...on the first page I looked at...was a brown tweed blazer for $3. And no...I did not buy it. Thought about it, but restrained myself.
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood today. It's supposed to rain on Saturday. I'll have to see it to believe it...but it's predicted. At least it's not raining red winged blackbirds! Isn't that amazing!! Almost as freaky as 'cats and dogs' but I think getting whacked in the head with a dead bird might be an experience I could live without....forever! I had a seagull shit on my head once...that's an adventure...
Update....day 'something' with the insole-serts - excellent! Brilliant recommendation, Dr. Livingston. Gracias!
I spent a little time looking at beads in the office today. There are some nice ones. I wish I had more time to do things. That's a lie. I could make time to do things...I procrastinate. I choose to disorganize my time. I actually worked on some stuff today. I have been putting some necklace designs together...for me. Not me as in me wear them...as in me make them and maybe me sell them...that kind of me. But I was in a' looking at beads' mood today. I had a 1/4 cup of creative juice flowing.
I was planning on looking at yarn for baby hats tonight as I thought the new 'baby hat book' would be here by today...but it is delayed a few days. Darn the luck! And I don't want to order anything until I can see the patterns. I know I'd be safe with any skein of baby soft yarn...but I'm a visual person. Oh, I know what a pumpkin color is...and a daisy would be white...but I'm sure a quantity order would be required so I'll wait.
The Christmas tree is securely packed away in the box it came it. And out of the direct sunlight. And I took the lights down. I thought about leaving them up...but re-thought the thought. The blinking was making me hallucinate. I have enough problems.
Tom is bitching. And he's wet. He just spent 15 minutes sitting in the bathroom sink. I think he hallucinates, too.
I'm going to watch The Guns of Will Sonnet and probably fall asleep. Have a nice evening!

Funny Funny Book
BFFMS sent me a book recommendation. She has exquisite taste. I bought the book. You know I love funny stuff and this book...Simple Times, Crafts for Poor People by Amy Sedaris...is beyond funny...I got it today in the mail and have only glanced through it. I am laughing just looking at the cover! When you go to Amazon and look it up, there is a video clip. Watch it. Seriously funny. Thank you, again, MS!!
Short day, thank God. And short tomorrow, I think. I got some stuff done today. No major crisis going on. But I'm not letting my guard down.
Why don't they make plain brown or black blazer jackets for women anymore? I just can't find one. That I like. I want a simple style, not one with gold stitching - huge pockets - bell sleeves - Japanese cut - none of that shit - just a jacket. I'll keep looking. Oh...and it should be dirt cheap. I'll know it when I see it.
I'm watching a movie about counting cards in Vegas. I'm looking for a new profession. It's based on a true story...so I am not writing much. Just wanted to touch base. Have a nice night!!

Why does my older cat pul his hair out?
A very serious questions that has plagued our family for a while now. Guess what eHow says?
'Cats will pull their fur out for many different reasons, ranging from parasite infection to mental disorders!'
That, my friends...is it!!! The answer we have been waiting for...not happy about it...but mystery solved. There will be no cat shrink. No kitty Zanax. If anything, I'll shave the cat. Problem solved!
Long day..tired legs and back. Feet? Doing OK!
Husband made marinara and tortellini for me for supper tonight. It was wonderful. I love marinara sauce. I could eat it by the bowl - dunking bread chunks in it! I am nice and full.
I will have a cup of Chamomille tea and lay down in a few minutes. I had already typed this blog out a while ago and lost Internet connection...and 10 paragraphs of writing! And you know how that pisses me off! Otherwise I'd have more here, obviously. The only 'draft' saved was for the first two paragraphs...go figure.
I'm trying to remember what I had already said. Oh....someone left a Pashmina scarf in the laundry room a few weeks ago. No one claimed it...so I did! I should get a blazer to wear it with...with jeans. I might look like a girl!
I need some Nice and Easy. Got a hair problem going on. I have multicolored hair with variegated roots. Not a great combination. Not like I'm 'good hair' oriented....
There was ice in the fountain this morning and you could see the goldfish swimming around under it....It was kind of cool (ha ha) looking! It's OK and so are they...it was thawed by noon.
Tom is driving me nuts. He thinks it's time for him to eat. I don't. I think he's going to win. He's irritating.......
I need to check my blood sugar and take a shower and read a few pages. I should be done with this book in 2 weeks at the rate I'm going. But it's OK...I've already been reading it for a couple of months.
Have a good one.....

It's a Long Way to Tipperary
I have no idea where that came from...those words just popped into my head today. No clue.
We are watching Dallas. It's been on alllllll day and will be on till 1:00 AM. I've been able to watch only a couple of episodes because I was working alllllll day! I was so hoping this was Sunday so I don't have a repeat performance of today...tomorrow! But that ain't happening. It's worse tomorrow. I am concerned about what might happen here. I have said that before...but there was an uncomfortable sit-che-a-shun today and I think there may be a coup. I need to go out of town. Soon.
Did you eat black eyed peas today? I did. I'm slap full of good luck. We even had some Chinese food for lunch! Can it get any better than that!!
Oh-oh...Jock is having open heart surgery. They are clamping as we speak. And they just whacked him with the paddles! I can't watch!!!
I took that necklace apart and restrung it. I like it better now. I got some other beads...sort of a coral swirly color. I like them.
Holy Shit!! Jock is alive! Bobby is going to continue to work with Ray on the ranch...and JR is in CHARGE of Ewing Oil! Life is good!! For a while..............
My fingers are rough. I feel all reptile-ly. It is so dry this time of year...lotion is a way of life.
It was only 18 degrees this morning! It was beautiful all day, but still cool.
Oh! You probably heard...but (ex) Gov. Richardson did NOT pardon Billy the Kid. I guess it had to do with the fact that Billy shot 2 deputies after he escaped from jail. He had been promised a pardon prior to that and then...bam! Perhaps that was a bad judgement call. Sorry Billy.
Remember when I posted the 'before' photos of one of the rooms we remodeled? Let me see if I can bring several befores' and 'afters' up....

And no...we don't get to go buy what we want for decorations,...we have a room full of stuff and pick from and this was the cream of the crop. I don't have to live in it. We do our best and are proud of our work.
I think it's time to read for a very few minutes. I am so tired. Oh...the 'insert-soles' are great!! I am noticing a big difference in foot pain already! My leg aches and pains are from long hours....I really need some time off...but I am very pleased with the arch supports. Just wanted to let you know...
Have a great evening. Later!!

These are in no particular order as you can see, but you know I have no idea how to put photos on here. I'm lucky I got this far...but I think you can get the gist of it...
