I could get used to this

There was n-o-t-h-i-n-g today. Zero. Nada. Zip. I loved it!! I got up...ate cereal...went to the office...saw there was nothing to do...put a load of clothes in to wash...put them in to dry...folded them...went home...fell asleep while I watched Las Vegas...woke up and watched The Closer...Husband got up and we went to the grocery store...went to Harry's and had a glass of wine...talked to people I haven't seen in while (because I am not a Harry's regular)...came home and friends followed us to visit for a while...and am now watching Police Women of Dallas and typing this blog. TA DA!! It was a sort of no brainer day, but I am very tired tonight. My blood sugar has been low all day. That probably has something to do with it. I know there is stuff to do tomorrow but I don't think I am going to do any of it. If the girls come in and I'm sure they will...they can handle whatever there is.

I am waiting for a package from UPS. It was supposed to be here on the 22nd. I checked out the tracking info and it is supposedly in Mesquite, Texas. It best be here in Alpine, Texas tomorrow! If not, I'll be kicking some UPS Santa's ass....

It was another beautiful day. Sorry if I keep repeating myself...but I speak the truth. It's going to cool down a little over the next few days. But will still be lovely.

Tom is patiently waiting for Santa. He knows he has a stocking with a gift and is so excited! I would love to tell you what I got him, but he may read this later and it would totally ruin the surprise. I'll take a picture on Christmas....

I got some new shoes. I like them...but I'm not used to them yet. I've only worn them 2 days. I had those Reebok's that are supposed to be good for your butt and legs...I forgot what you call them and I have worn them for almost a year! That is phenomenal for me....I am really hard on shoes. Primarily because I am on my feet all day and walking constantly. And they were definitely showing signs of wear. (I could feel the pavement) So I got some New Balance tennis shoes. They have a great insole/arch support and are leather uppers with no holes in them or mesh on top. I wouldn't ordinarily care, but a closed in shoe is much warmer!!

It's almost 9:30 and I think I shall take a shower and relax. I planned on doing a few things this evening but instead I smiled nicely and visited. So I am tired. See you tomorrow...
