Holy crap...what a day. Overcast and comfortable weather wise. It was just me. I was irritated all day. Nothing in particular...just lots 'o little stuff...but significant. I'll get over it.
Made a pair and a half of turquoise earrings. The half is a 'do I want to really make this pattern?'...hmmmmmmmmm...I'll sleep on it and look at it tomorrow. That really is a good theory, you know. Night color vs day color...happens to me a lot. That's what I like about making jewelry. If I don't like it...snip snip! Start all over!
I also found some great knitting/crocheting patterns for newborn caps and chemo caps. Soft and soothing. In a minute I'll find some yarn on line. I have a drawer full of yarn (most of which is perfect for pretty chemo caps) but no super soft baby stuff. I love craft projects. I'm fortunate that I can sew, knit, crochet...etc. I made myself an actual 'I accomplished this today' calendar which I am pleased to report looks good! Only one 'X' day...so I am making myself proud.
Even writing this blog is a challenge. Discipline...that's what I need! Lots of it! And on that note...I'm done here for the day. Must go to the Smiley's Yarn site...'caps' await me! Have a good one...

Chemical Conjunctivitis. Has a nice ring to it...don't it! That's what you get from drain cleaner in the eye. My recommendation? Don't try this at home...or anywhere else for that matter. Anyway...eye still hurts, swollen, red, ugly, etc. Should be better in 2-3 WEEKS!
Had a slight bit of rain today. More overcast and comfortable with tomorrow looking the same. Busy at work and glad to get home.
I have broken the spell. Nothing artistic/creative was done today unless looking at yarn on line qualifies! I thought about some ornament ideas. Maybe before the night is over I'll sketch a few goodies. (Doubtful, though).
I ordered a few 'funny books' on line last night. We have the Way Out West Book Festival here in Alpine, and last year I had the most amazing pleasure of meeting Sarah Bird and her wonderful husband George. She is an exceptional writer. Tear jerking hysterical and poignant, thought provoking and soulful...I have all of her books. She keeps good company with [many] authors who are also right up my alley in the humor department...and I have just become acquainted with their work this year.
So..I went on to ABE books (good site! I'm am also a die heart Amazon fan) and ordered some by DIXIE CASH AND CAROL DAWSON. I'll let you know my opinion (such that it is!).
I'm thinking that my vision is blurring and the eye needs to close for the night. Have a good one!

oh the pain!!!
It was the day from hell...everything that could go wrong...well...you know the rest. And the last but not least was splashing drain cleaner in my eye. Yes it hurts! A lot! As we speak...it is almost swollen shut. It's my right eye...and that's the one I write with!!
I have sort of an elephant man look. Not very becoming. Oh well...I can see (sort of) so I will hold off on the DR. I know that's not real smart...another oh well.
The weather bug on my trusty computer is flashing a severe thunderstorm warning with 1-2" hail and 70 mph winds. I think I'll stay inside for the rest of the night.
I have been creative every day...even today...as creative as a one eyed Yankee can be. I am working on a jewelry/ felt ornament brochure. My passions. I want to put hand knitted/crocheted scarfs...but I need to be sure I can produce (quantity) before I put it in print. My inspiration for this action was an invitation to the Christmas Craft Show in Decemeber that I received in the mail today! (They start early around here) And I wil mail it in next week. The spaces are like gold...and it's a really good show. At least I am getting a good start on 'stuff'!
Not much more to say tonight. I will pop a few Motrin and an ice pack and hope I look a little better in the am...

Cops is over...
I'm baaaaack!
Well...that took a while! (Michael Jackson is still on...but now Elvis has joined him...go figure)
Had a day off today. It has, quite literally, been months. Slept in, ate out, drank up and ate some more. Perfect day! Now I am waiting so see if we get rain tonight. If rumbles were rain drops...it would be pouring. We'll see.
I have decided to become creative again. I love to paint, make jewelry and hand craft 'things'. And I have decided to MAKE time for what I enjoy. Shouldn't we all. I am my own worst enemy and the only time I listen to myself is when I am speaking negatively. I had a talk with myself today. No more of that nonsense!
I live by lists and I have made my 'daily goal list'. Today was all of the above. SUCCESS!!! (Making the list, that is.) I also made a necklace...and I liked it. Even better! Now I will read newspapers on line, check some of my favorite blogs and pat my full belly. Have a nice night!

What a day!!!!!!!!!!
Well...can I SEE anymore of the Jackson family??? I think not! Wait a minute...it's not that I didn't like MJ's music...cuz I did (d0)! It's not that I didn't think he had really beautiful children...cuz he did(does)!! It's not that I am not really sorry that he wasn't be a great dad...cuz I think he was (honestly!) but it's over...done...kaput....leave them alone. K??? 'nough said. New subject.
It's hot. I like warm...not hot. It would be great to have some rain. Gentle God like rain.
As you can tell..I am SO new to this blog thing. I will try to interject some stuff. Not sure what as yet. Funny Sad Happy Mad and Poetic (get it?) Whatever...have a great night. I have to watch COPS.
