Dang it! My head aches...

I think I may have caught something. And not in a good way. I am home...drinking hot tea, eating crackers and bitching. And medicating myself. And bitching. Dammit!

I feel lethargic. Seriously. Tomorrow I will be well. Get this...I have a pain behind my left ear. A major freakin' pain. Right on, and behind my actual ear thing.  If I push on it, it doesn't hurt as much. I have my finger on it as we speak. Go figure.

I have felt pretty good for quite a while now so this is pissing me off.

American Eats is on the History Channel. This program is all about hot dogs. The previous one was about canned food. I like shows like this. And I don't care what hot dogs are made out of...I love them.

Watching this show is good. I can lay down. Which is what I think I will do for a while. Have a nice evening...

Taking a little break

Semi busy at work today. Hurried through. I was by myself again which is fine and will be again tomorrow. Saturday is a different story. Raven will be here (I hope) and it's busy.

I came home to do work and have quite a bit done. Right now I am nursing a head and neck ache, so I'll take a break for a while. It's a side effect from intense beading. It, too, shall pass!

There is a strange movie on right now. It's an oldie and I started watching in the middle of it, so I have no clue what it's about. Let's see...a younger girl being lavished with gifts by an older gentleman...she thinks it a prelude to marriage...he thinks NOT! I think I should change it. Wait...maybe not....he just said he is going to marry her...I just looked it up. It's called Playgirl with Kay Francis. She's an older gold digger teaching a protege her trade.....curious. Boring.

I think I'd rather watch Ugly Betty.

I think I need food. Have a nice night. I need to do nothing for a while. Bye!

B'iness is good

I am a woman on a mission. I have a jewelry order. A really good one. I'll post photos as I progress. I have an angel in my life that made it happen. As Charlie always said...Thank you angel. (Thank you Charlie...) OMG!!! Until I just saw that in print...you have no idea how funny it is. I know who does. Way too eerie....

I have been sorting beads by color. I have a lot of beads. That's a good thing. I placed a large order today for sterling & gold stuff...ear wires, chains, lobster claw clasps...a bunch 'o stuff. This book reading thing may be on hold. I need to complete as much jewelry as I can by Monday...so I can mail it when when we leave. Busy busy!!

It sure is nice outside right now. It was cold again, but I am not complaining. I watched the Weather Channel about New England. 'Nough said.

I finally got my medication from WalMart Prescription delivery. Just in the nick of time, too. And I am set for 3 months. With 3 refills. Excellent.

I'm hungry. I still like the pancake idea for supper, but I am hungry now. I just don't know what I want. A banana split sounds good. I think I have a banana. Scratch the split.

Well...I am off to bead. Might be back...might not. Have a nice day!

Walking in a winter wonderland

It was a frosty morn...frigid frosty. But it sure was pretty. The sky is crystal clear tonight so tomorrow AM will be cold again. It looks like my family will be getting dumped on by snow again in the next 48 hours. Please stay warm!!

I have taken a couple of photos of my earrings. Actually, I took about 40 but these are the best ones. I listed them on eBay. I have a new challenge though and I should get confirmation in the morning. It could be amazing. I'll let you know... Damn I wish I knew how to line these pictures up!  I keep adding them, but then when I try to move them around...I manage to delete them. I give up. Here they are.

.

We didn't go to Odessa today due to the weather. It just seemed too treacherous. Drivers around here don't do well on ice. But in Odessa...there are many, many more drivers who are not the most cautious so it seemed smarter to stay home. It wasn't an urgent trip anyway.

We are leaving on Monday for what I will call a business trip. It's too complicated to explain but it's necessary. I am ready to go. In more ways than one. I am already packed. And I need some time away from here. I have been working by myself for the past few days. Even though it's not been busy, I still have to get up and do a few things. So leaving for a few days won't bother me a bit. Maybe we'll have a heat wave next week to make it more pleasant! Yeah, right.

I finally started reading that Finger Lickin' Fifteen book...but guess what. The title is really Sizzlin' Sixteen. Brain fart. But at least I knew it was Janet Evanovich!!

Husband made pea soup with wild rice in it for supper with cornbread. It is/was delicious. I was starving and ate it all. A perfect day for soup. I have a hankering for pancakes. Blueberry pancakes. Doesn't that sound good?? I have pancake mix that I can eat and sugar free syrup. Maybe tomorrow night. Yes...I think so.

I made a few necklaces tonight. Nothing dramatic.

I think I should go read whatever the hell book I'm reading. It's kind of late and it will no doubt put me to sleep, but that's OK. I need a cup of hot tea and my day will be complete. Have a nice day tomorrow!

The cold is a comin'

All day long there has been coverage of the storms in the south and it's progress up the east coast. Glad I'm not there. (Sorry family!) It's going to be cold tonight and colder tomorrow and the next day...At least the wind has stopped blowing. Actually, it was quite warm today. Sweatshirt weather.

I am so busy. I am such a liar. I had grandiose plans to do things today...didn't get a damn thing done. Don't care. It's still early enough to do lots of stuff...but I guarantee I'm doing nothing tonight. And it was a breeze at work. I didn't wear myself out. And nothing tomorrow. We may have to go to Odessa. I won't know until tomorrow, though.

I tried taking some photos of my earrings yesterday. I am 'picture taking impaired'. I thought maybe it was an isolated incident as I had tried before. You know...like a bad day thing. Nope. I suck at taking photos.

I got a new address book thing in the mail today. I have a Daytimer that I have had for over 15 years...and it looks like it. It's tapestry on the outside, leather accents, snap closure...that's what it used to look like anyway. The tapestry is still there...the leather is cracked and 'secured' to the cover with clear mailing tape...and the snap closure is long gone. But I just can't throw it out. The one I just got is half it's size but perfect for a purse. Plus it was 1/4 of the price of a real Daytimer. I just needed a smaller book and I'm happy with this. I'll probably fill in the blanks in it tonight. Addresses and such. Maybe.

My printer is not printing correctly. I think I have a bad ink cartridge. I have done all I was supposed to do...including installing the 'newest updated version' of whatever they are talking about...I'll try it later. And I'm sure it's an ink type issue because it won't print correctly on business card stock or photo paper. Brown is orange. Ugly orange.  I have aligned the cartridges, cleaned the heads, held it upside down and kissed it on the mouth...so I hope it works. I'll order new ink anyway. I really like the printer. It's one of those Kodak AIO Photo Printers.

Tom just climbed up here to sit with me and Husband. He supports the family unit. What a good cat. We are watching JAG. Tom likes JAG. Tom wants ice cream. I brought an ice cream sandwich over for Husband. I am being very good tonight. I will eat cottage cheese. Tom and Husband are enjoying their ice cream sandwich. They both suck.

I think I'll read for a while. I don't need to finish that book I got from Gail. I need to start it! I'll see you tomorrow....

Thar she blows!!!!

We have more plastic trash bags blowing out here than a landfill! That wind has a mighty nip to it, too. We actually had a bit of rain last night. Husband kept opening the door to look at to make sure he wasn't hallucinating...You couldn't tell it now, though. The rain...not the hallucinations.

It's supposed to be very cold mid-week here. But I don't know about any precipitation. I hope there is some.

I am making some more jewelry. I have no idea when this burst of semi-energy came from, but I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts. I am digging through boxes of stuff and saying...I forgot I had this shit!! Ain't that purdy!!! I be a makein' me sumpin outta this piece here. I really talk like that...all the time!! Honest!

When I left off a day ago I was going to read. Haven't got that far yet. I still have a few days to return the book. We watched 'Steakout' with Emilio Estevez and Richard Dreyfuss last night and I never turned on the computer. Then I went to sleep. Very relaxing evening.

I plan on jewerizing (like that word?) when I get home today and doing the same thing tonight...only read. By same thing I mean nothing.

I think the wind and barometric pressure is giving me a bit of a headache. Maybe I should Tylenolize....there's another one!

I'm am trying to muster up enough energy to get busy, but I thought I catch up on emails and this post and then the rest of the day is gravy.

Some kids next door have a kite in the 40 MPH wind and they have it tied on to the door handle of the truck! Pretty clever!!

Well...I am going to stand up now and do something...have a great day!!

Who is the fastest gun alive?

Glen Ford...that's who. I know that for a fact cuz it's on right now! He's George Kelby, Jr. aka George Temple.

I am taking a break. I made some jewelry today. Necklaces and earrings. Very productive.

The wind blew this afternoon. And blew. And blew! It has let up this evening and the stars are shining.

I ate a piece of pie. You knew I would so don't even look at me like that! It was a small piece...about the width of a fork. Fork tines. Thin fork tines. I waited about a half an hour and took my blood sugar. It was 215. Then - I remembered to take my medicine! A half an hour later it was 105. Not bad...but it sure made me think for a minute!!

Oh oh...its almost time for the big shoot out. Glen Ford just put his gun belt on. His wife is scared. Don't blame her! He's on his way out the door. The whole town is watching. Glen Ford is calling Broderick Crawford (Vinnie Harold) out. It don't look good...Somebody's gonna get their ass kicked...I mean killed. The other bad guy is riding off into the sunset. Broderick Crawford is making promises he can't keep. Now they are both walking towards each other. OK...they are 20 feet apart. Bang! Bang! Bang bang bang!

Silence......

Now the townsfolk are looking at the grave markers. George Kelby, the Fastest Gun Alive, Killed - and Vinnie Harold -  the man who was killed by George Kelby....

Update...George Temple is NOT dead!! (Big surprise!) which means...a new life for George and his wife! Happy ending......

Way too much excitement for one night. I need to take a shower and read. I borrowed a book from Gail (she works in the office). It's Janet Evanovich - Finger Lickin' Fifteen. I meant to read this 100 times already, but never got around to it. It's a library book and she needs it back before the 20th...It should only take me a couple of days. I enjoy Evanovich books and they are a quick read.

Not much to say tonight...just the movie review. Gotta rest. See you tomorrow!
